Enjoyed with a good friend in our new Sausalito home. It paired beautifully alongside the following meal:
Farmer’s Market Golden Heirloom Tomato, Fresh Peas, Squash Blossoms under the broiler for a second, dressed with a few drops of fresh Basil Olive Oil
Black Cod, on top of a Golden Beet, on top of a few Caramelized Onions, on top of Black Forbidden Rice on top of a Sauce of Roasted Golden Beets and Sweet Peppers
Assorted Cheeses

What is the photo? Is it a rock structure in Burgundy?
Hey Burgundy Bob,
Great question. I took this photograph a few days ago while on a hike in the Marin Headlands in Northern California and it is certainly a rock formation!
Cheers,
Ben
Looks like an anticline to me!
Ahh… but was the photo taken before or after the wine was drunk — inquiring minds want to know!
After, of course!
But, I must admit, sometimes you taste a wine and it makes you think of an image that you have already seen or a photograph that you have already taken. And, it did take me a while to find the right image for this particular wine, but I think it suits it well.
